Dogs Day

Wary of politics and politicians. I have been alive and aware long enough now to experience capitalism at its best and at its most extreme and it doesn’t work. I have also been alive long enough to see our form of socialism at its best and at its most extreme and it doesn’t work either.

Someone once said the government you have is your responsibility regardless of wether you voted for them or not. I am not sure I agree with that sentiment. However I do believe that we get what ask for, literally. On a local and a global basis there needs to be a return to the time when people got out on the streets, protested and brought countries to a standstill until policies changed or governments where brought down. Earlier than that the fight for working conditions and for a safety net for those of us at a disadvantage, rather than labelling people loser and giving little or no support to the disabled, unemployed, pensioners and others at risk.

The Dream of a perfect life died a long time ago, we now live in a world dominated by big business through PR and government persuasion and corruption. It happens hear on our doorstep and we see it echoed all around the world today.

Why on Earth is a very sick billionaire business many president of the USA? Why do we have a thatcher style government in Australia and in the UK? Public Relations are the answer. No concern for individuals or for the environment, only for a profit for ‘me’.

People who are ‘rich’ already have way more than they can spend but still they are looking to take your money and invest on a daily basis in new ways to get into your brain and get you to do or buy what they want you to.

If we want to protest today, we need to get council and police permission. What the fuck is that about? It defeats the purpose of protesting and challenging government and corporate toxicity. Please line up here if you want to protest or here if you don’t and we will treat you all with complete disregard and disrespect.

We don’t have Newspapers anymore simply advertising sheets owned and managed by the same corporations that keep us looking the wrong way. We don’t have any silence anymore. Most of are exposed to thousands of adverts daily, so that our thoughts, our focus and our attention is on how to get a few more cents to spend with the people we work for and are ruled by.

Our planet is in danger but I suspect it will last longer than us as we are all in danger as well.
